This is the beginning of a weekly blog series that I will be posting here to Travel Continuously. I’m starting this because want to give you more of an insight into my life, share more of my thoughts and feelings as I travel the world.
Leaving from Bali, on a short flight via Singapore, we decided to kick off our Sumatra trip with a visit to the capital of North Sumatra – Medan. It’s a city that is usually skipped by most people on their way to either Bukit Lawang or Lake Toba, but that is exactly why I wanted to see what it had to offer. Last weekend we had our first Adventure Bag Crew action that we took part in here in Canggu, Bali. The Adventure Bag Crew only started a couple of months ago, and it was Jackson Groves who began collecting the trash he found on mountains and beaches and speaking about it on his social media channels. That is how we heard about the movement and when we heard they’re organising a beach cleanup in Canggu, we jumped to help collect the trash off the beach.
